Still feeling pretty down, though that may in part be tiredness. I graded Vermont students all day Saturday. Then in the evening, Nilofer and I drove up to Karen's in Madison for a party, through terrible snow -- what should have been a 2.5 hr drive took more than 4 hours. Thankfully, Nilofer is very good company, and I was glad to have the chance to talk with her at length. Had a good time playing Mafia for a few hours, then crashed, then woke up after too little sleep to drive back to Chicago to host a SAPAC mini-retreat. Kevin had made rice and curry for it, because I didn't have time to cook and he's a sweetheart. The retreat was productive, but exhausting -- five hours of consensus planning is enough to drain the hardiest of souls. I had a very quiet evening after that, just watching tv and reading, then had a late evening Carl Brandon award planning teleconference. I slept enough last night, but I still feel exhausted.
Today -- catch up on Roosevelt grading (hoping to be all caught up by the end of today), have meetings on campus, teach tonight. Tomorrow, rest.
