Sadly, one of the other places we were seriously considering, on Potomac, has sold since the last time we looked at it. It had been too expensive the first time we looked at it, but they dropped the price -- which meant it got snapped up before we had a chance to take a stab at it. I mope. It was a very different style from anything else we've seen -- Victorian, with lots of little rooms and an actual basement. Tons of potential, though it would have needed an awful lot of work too. Ah well.
I'm going to look at a few more today, and then I think I'm going to have to leave it in Kevin's hands after that, since I'll essentially be on the road for the next six weeks. He's nervous that our place will sell and he'll need to pick something quickly for us while I'm gone which I might not love; I'm not as worried, though. He knows my tastes pretty well, and it's not as if he can't send me digital photos. I'm going to Sri Lanka, not falling off the edge of the world.
Tasks for today in addition to looking at houses essentially involve getting prepped for travel. I get to buy a new digital camera (belated Xmas present from my folks), which will be much fun. There will also be packing.
