British publisher and literary critic Jane Lawson offers a tip to Indian writers: exotic chic is out. The only trouble is, now Lawson and other publishers are looking for Multi-Culti chic, which is bad enough as it is, without her calling British writers Zadie Smith, and Hanif Kureishi (both of whom were born in Britain) "diaposric writers settled in Britain." There's really no end to the ghettoizing of other people's stories.I read the article. I have nothing to add.
