Ooh, rough morning. I…

Ooh, rough morning. I went to bed around midnight, and woke up at 4:30 very queasy. Tried to distract myself with tv for an hour or two, then remembered that bread sometimes helps. Ate some bread, which did help, and then dozed on the couch from 6 - 10ish. Have been moving very slowly since then; all I've accomplished today is to clean the tv room and that bathroom. But now I'm about to have my second cup of tea, and hopefully I can get a little e-mail dealt with in the next hour or so. After that, I'm supposed to go over to the gym and do weights on my own today. I had hoped to draft a story today, but I'm so groggy still that I think that might have to wait until tomorrow. I'm coughing a fair bit too; I guess I've just picked up some small sickness. Annoying.

On the plus side, I had a lovely weekend up in Madison; the bus ride was slightly tedious, but not too bad, and there was much fun with Jeremiah and Karen and Par. We made kazillion little tea sandwiches for the party, in order of popularity: lamb curry, mushroom cream, cucumber w/butter, raspberry mint (mix raspberry preserves with whipped cream cheese, add fresh mint), smoked turkey/olive/dijon. Fun! :-) If you come to WisCon, you might get to try some of these; I think Karen's thinking of making tea sandwiches for the SH party this year...

Speaking of WisCon, I've requested a party room for the SLF Small Press Co-op, which should be launching shortly. So if you're involved editing or publishing for some kind of small press / chapbook / zine / etc. and interested in sharing our party space, drop me a line. I suppose if you're a writer for one of those and you'll be at WisCon but your editor/publisher won't, you might ask them if they want you to represent their press at the Con, sell books or magazines, etc. (Hmm...I just realized that I'm not positive that we can sell books at these, but I think we can -- I'm pretty sure Circlet Press does it most years).
