I received my first Xmas card yesterday (from one of our SH workshop participants, aw...(Jed/Susan -- Tom Doyle says hi to you guys too)) -- which made me realize that I haven't even thought about cards this year! So swamped! I don't know if I'll have time to do them, but I might. If you'd like to (possibly) get a card from me, and didn't get one last year (if you got one last year, then you're already on my list, see?), please
drop me a line with your name and address. And if you'd like to send me a card (or anything else) and don't have my current address, please write me and ask for them. The Salt Lake P.O. Box *might* still be forwarding -- they're supposed to be -- but I wouldn't bet on it. I should probably get a Chicago P.O. Box. Of course, that'd mean committing to being here another six months. Which we're not thinking about right now...we're focusing on writing, yes, that's right.
4000 words so far on the new project; I did some writing at Borders yesterday afternoon, along with some more Cervantes-reading. Revised the beginning and did a bit more. I'm itching to tell y'all more about it; I just left a message for my editor asking if I can. I can tell you this much -- I need about 40,000 words by December 18th. That's fourteen days from now. Two weeks. About 2600 words a day. Which is only 2-3 hours of writing a day. I can do that, no problem. Right?
I'm going to try to get a head-start on it today, pound through a larger chunk. Roshani's coming by in a bit; she'll work here today. Hopefully it'll be pleasant, but not distracting, company. Fingers crossed for a productive day...
