Hey, munchkins. Spent a fair bit of yesterday and this morning working on various handmade books; will have photos up soon. Sort of a slacker morning otherwise; mostly chatting with David for a fair bit, wandering around, figuring out what to pack for the camping trip (I don't know what I was thinking, thinking we could do Arches, Zion and Bryce in two days. We've gone to a much more reasonable Zion and Bryce plan). The mall is having a massive clearance sale today; I think I'll go pick up a pair of white tennis shoes and maybe one more pair of shorts and/or a white tank top. Basic summer stuff that I could use (especially given how nutty hot it'll be in Chicago) and am low on at the moment. I used to own white tennis shoes; I think I just wore them to death. I really need new hiking boots too, but I don't really want to buy them and pack them now. Not that I have any good reason for that; tennis shoes just feel easier to slip in somewhere. And it's not like Jed and I are planning on doing any heavy-duting hikes; tennis shoes should do me just fine.
Also need to pick up groceries for Jed's visit, wine for the dinner I'm going to tonight with Ginu Kamani (cool Mills teacher, here to give talk) -- various and random stuff, y'know? Then a seminar from 2-6 today downtown, then home for a bit, then dinner tonight. (I'm not really sure what they're going to do for 4 hours; should be interesting).
Spent a little while being stressed at Kevin on the phone last night; he managed to calm me down. Part of it was just being tired. Part of it was...well, everything. We'll see how it goes. I'm still moderately agnostic about the whole thing.
Still, I miss him like crazy. Can't wait to see him again.
