Couldn’t sleep last…

Couldn't sleep last night; stayed up 'til midnight watching tv. Luckily, there was a pretty decent Voyager on at eleven. Woke up at 6:30. Ouch.

I've spent the last couple hours on the web, researching bed and breakfasts. Jed's arriving very late Thursday night; he needs to work Friday (luckily, I have a cable modem), but we're planning on taking the weekend off and going down to Southern Utah. Definitely Arches and Bryce, possibly a bit of Zion as well. I don't want to try to cram too much into two days, but on the other hand, I think he'd really like Zion, and I'd sort of like to see Weeping Rock in spring, when it's supposedly covered in wildflowers. We'll see. There seem like a fair number of lovely places to stay, though, from elaborately decorated rooms (one place, called Novel House, does every room up in the style of literary figures like C.S. Lewis) to solitary rustic cabins. I'm pretty flexible; once Jed wakes up, he can tell me which appeals to him.

Class at 3:30; before that, I'd like to do some work on the Tananarive Due stuff. But I can't quite face it yet...so I'm going to take my tea and Milton and go read on my sunny bed, with the window open and the light morning breeze coming in.

Life is good.
