Clean Sheets is finally up; I got the last of it up this morning. Meep. This is the first week we updated on Thursday instead of Wednesday. I'm trying not to feel too guilty about it. I would have done it last night, but I had managed to delete both the fiction and the article, so I needed to wait for people to get me new copies of them. Luckily, they were there by the time I woke up this morning.
It's a fun issue this week; Bill Noble's story is a prime example of the gigantism subgenre, and it dovetails rather nicely (and unplanned!) with Hanne Blank's article on vaginal reconstruction. I'm not sure how I feel about the Dany Nieves exhibit -- I really like some of the more indirect pieces (like the one with honey), but some of the others are a little glossy/porn-like for my tastes. Ah well -- it's good to have variety. Women with that much make-up just make me cringe.
The poem is very very funny too. I think, anyway.
Hmm...after that suffocatingly long entry of yesterday, not much to report today. Guess I'll just go do the CS newsletter that I'll send out tonight. Dinner with David this evening, maybe a quick game of Scrabble, and then more futzing with the magazine. Theoretically dinner with Jed tomorrow. Birthday party of Karen's Saturday. Maybe brunch at Francisco's Sunday. Otherwise, the weekend should be dedicated to homework and finishing the revisions of "Challah" that I started in Salt Lake. Oh, and maybe some more sleeping. :-)
