Well, the publishing…

Well, the publishing conference went very well (have to remember to add that to my CV), and I think people got a fair bit out of the panel I moderated on self-publishing and the web. We had some great panelists, and a lot of information was disseminated. I learned a lot from a panel I attended on screenwriting (mostly that I should probably take a class or several if I want to do this, as it is a very specialized field...)

I also met some interesting people; had good conversations with Fred Dodsworth of Axcess Magazine and Au Jus Magazine, and Gary Gach, author of a book on how writers can take advantage of the net. I may try to write some pieces for those magazines -- we'll see.

I also sold a few copies of my book, so that my bank account balance has gone from $25 to $55, hooray. :-) I need to get a day job...

Today I got the strangest urge to mess with my web page yet again, so I went and revised the stories section. Didn't add anything new, but moved things around a lot. Tried to make clearer the distinction between me and Celeste, since somehow lately a couple of people have managed to convince themselves that we are one and the same person...a bit irritating.

Today I will write two stories for Sizzle, and clean my darn room, which I have been wanting to do ever since I got back from Chicago and honestly haven't found the time/energy for yet. That's my pledge for the day. I also have a pile of student papers to coment on, but I think I'll leave those for tomorrow. I should do some more writing on my thesis. It's due in a little over three weeks. Meep.

Sometime soon I'll send you guys some more chunks from it so you can see what I'm doing these days...
