Facebook / internet goofing-off cut-back report on day one: So I did fine with the 15 min. at breakfast, and the 15 min. at lunchtime. In the afternoon, I was on e-mail for a while, but that was actively working, so is currently acceptable. I wrote some things offline and posted them, which didn't count against my time. So I was doing fine until around 5ish. But then. I completely bombed the 30 min. after dinner -- it was more like 90 min (which you might have guessed from the spate of posting I did last night). Total fail.
I did keep thinking, "I should get off the internet and go read Andrea's book," but I was also seriously crashing from #wiscon, and I was pretty sure that if I started reading a book, even a good book, I'd be asleep within minutes. Since the kids were still awake, and Kevin is at a conference all week, and Jed was dropping Benjamin off at the airport (boo!) , that seemed unwise.
So I decided to cut myself some slack for the first day. But I'm going to try again today: 15, 15, and 30 minutes. We'll see how it goes.
