We're up to $4,649 (of an $8000 goal), and 110 backers. I don't know if we'll make it by 8:55 a.m. tomorrow morning -- but regardless, it's really very heartwarming to know that over a hundred people were willing to pledge money to help a book of mine get written.
The last six years have been mostly quite discouraging in terms of writing, which is a whole 'nother story -- basically since Bodies in Motion came out in 2005, I've had a series of writing frustrations, that at times made me question the whole endeavour. But now, well, I feel all warm and fuzzy and writing-hopeful. However this turns out, guys -- thanks. Thanks a lot!
