Hey, guys. So, I didn't even manage to finish annotating that Judaism
book last night, but I did do it this morning. That's all the real work I
got done, I'm afraid -- just haven't been able to concentrate on it when
there's people coming! But everything except my desk is now clean (and
I'm working on that), the dishes are puttering merrily along, I've added
one (my favorite
sweet potato one, just
'cause I happened to have the ingredients and I do love this dish), and
all is basically well. A few last-minute crises of course -- the most
notable being that I meant to go out and pick up some wine today, but I
forgot that you can't buy wine in Salt Lake City on a Sunday. Sigh. I
can't complain too much -- I think Philly might have had similar laws.
This country is so strange. Luckily, my friends are able to bring wine,
and Jim and Kerry might even bring some wine they made, which would be
particularly cool. :-)
Hmm...not much else to report, really. One of my mailing lists is in the
midst of a bit of a kerfuffle, but everyone is of good will, so I'm
reasonable sure it'll all sort itself out. Otherwise, all's well, there's
now sixteen coming to dinner, and I should go check on the sweet
potatoes...
