I got sort of obsessed by the idea of making a springtime cake with mango curd and passionfruit buttercream frosting, decorated with fresh mango and edible forsythias, the sort of thing one might serve for Easter. Forsythias don’t actually taste like much, like most edible flowers, but v. pretty! I usually do a lemon daffodil
We’ve been cutting elastics today, to pass along to the people who are sewing replacements onto N-95 masks for healthcare workers. 35 * 12 = 420? I think that’s today’s goal, to cut 420 elastics; I think each mask takes two, so 210 masks. Not a ton, but not nothing either.
A dozen masks for local food service workers, done. I also recorded a video of myself making these, so once we’ve had a chance to edit it, I’ll put that up.
