It looks like I'm going to postpone the Sri Lanka trip after all, though not by much. Karina and I are now planning to go over in late March (around the 26th) and I'll return in late April. This is more due to academic job stuff, needing to be here for potential interviews, than anything else, though my father's and Kevin's concerns about instability in the area were certainly a factor too.
It's barely possible that we may reschedule again, for early winter, if I don't get an academic job for next year -- that's actually a better time for visiting the country, and more convenient for both me and Karina. But probably not.
I'm a bit sad to delay, but it's not much of a delay, and I think I need some resting time at home. I'm frazzled.
