I really wanted garlic fries with aioli for dinner, but it’s always challenging eating healthy for multiple days of conventions, so I told myself that I could have the garlic fries if I went for a swim afterwards, and so I did.

(I had a couple bites of the steak sandwich, which was only okay, but I mostly ordered that because I thought it would keep reasonably well for breakfast tomorrow.) The fries were delicious.

The outdoor hotel pool (Sheraton Crown Center, Kansas City) was lovely and heated enough for lap swimming (a little cool for just lounging).

It CLAIMS to be an all-weather pool, but it’s supposed to drop from a high of 76F today to a high of 40F on Sunday, so I’m a little dubious that I’m going to want to swim on Sunday. The water might be warm enough, but coming out of it will be painful. 67 tomorrow, though, so hopefully I’ll get in at least one more swim.

It is quite difficult to FIND the pool, necessitating a secret elevator, which might explain why no other con folks were there. Nice having it to myself, I admit. 🙂

Okay, now a cup of tea, Zoom school board meeting.
