Getting the guest room ready yesterday for Ben’s arrival. We’re teaching Clarion on Zoom, but we thought we’d do better co-teaching if we could be in the same place, and I have a guest room, so here we are.
The bedspread on the bed is done in kantha style, with a simple white running stitch tying thin layers together. Kantha quilts were often made from old saris and other worn pieces of fabric. I’m not much of an embroiderer, but I’d like to try making a bedspread like this someday. Until then, Etsy is my friend…
The print on the wall is one of Terri Windling‘s.
