Kev and I went into the garage to start working on organizing it, and found Arya perched happily on a pile of chaos. It’s often funny to me, where he chooses to nest. This pile is no longer there — it’s all much more neatly organized now, whew.
I slept badly last night, sigh, probably because I didn’t exercise yesterday. I just CAN’T skip exercise days, or I pay for them. I didn’t even garden; I just read for most of the day. Oh well. I did deal with a little e-mail this morning — lots more to go.
Plan for today — Roshani stopped by in the morning and chatted with me while I had breakfast and transferred the redbud syrup into little jars. Then I did some prep for my 11 o’clock Clarion instructor meeting — reading various materials in advance. It’s interesting, seeing how the workshop has changed since the last time I taught it, and also since I was a student.
The afternoon, I should spend on e-mail, which I’m going to try to alternate with gardening — I’d like to get the rest of the plants that need planting done in the front garden, and also swing by Home Depot and get one more load of sod, which hopefully will be enough to finish repairing the giant dead circle where we had a pandemic pool.
I have to admit, I was somewhat resistant to sod, because it seemed sort of silly to not do grass seed, which is so much cheaper, or clover, ditto, but it does kind of feel like magic, suddenly having half a lawn where there had just been bare dirt before. And now I know how to lay down sod, so that’s something. I always like learning things.
I think I need more motivation for the e-mail; it’s so much easier to do almost anything else. So I’m going to try keeping a running tally.

Can I knock it down by a hundred messages / week? We’ll see. I should also do the Liminal Space opening revision, and put that in the mail.
I should NOT spend the rest of the day reading another Jeffe Kennedy novel, though I really kind of want to — I started her Uncharted Realms series yesterday, and whipped through Pages of the Mind, and am now halfway through The Edge of the Blade….
