I sautéed some salmon in onions, garlic, ginger, seasoned with salt and pepper, and ate it over rice with a good dose of Hawaiian chili pepper sauce (apple cider vinegar, fermented Hawaiian chili peppers, carrots, sweet onion, garlic, Hawaiian sea salt). Delicious, and a great breakfast the next morning too.
Spent a little term browsing a guidebook, and learned some useful terms. It can be confusing, figuring out what people mean by ‘native’ vs. ‘local,’ and then there are words like ‘haole’….
