Delighted to announce that UIC will soon be offering a Global Asian Studies major. This has been the heartfelt work of many hands and minds, students, faculty, and staff, over many years.
I did a little work towards this a decade or so ago, but mostly, it’s my colleagues who have been carrying the labor of this, and I’m just so proud of them, and so excited for our students.
If there’d been an option for this back when I was in college, I’d totally have tried to pull off a double major in English and Global Asian Studies.
