It wasn’t a huge party, but it was actually a party (only about a quarter of the people who attended are pictured below!), and people came and bought things (I sold scarves and cookbooks and curry powder and sweets and notecards!)…
…but more importantly, I got to hang out and socialize with friends and new people and I felt just bubbly basically the whole time, which was only a little bit the prosecco and DAMN, I miss socializing, and I am crossing all my fingers and toes that we are actually coming out of this stupid pandemic please.
“People, people who need people, are the luckiest people in the world…” — except during a pandemic, apparently! Then we just get super-cranky and/or depressed, until we get to be with people again.
One of my guests told me that my parties were the best parties because they always had the yummiest food and the most interesting people. I think so.
If you meant to come tonight but couldn’t make it, I’ll just note that Alix’s jewelry (including the fabulous new Valentine’s jewelry) is available online, link in comments.
And now I’m going to go curl up with Kevin and watch some lovely TV.
