There’s something really magical about printing. I usually think about it in the context of books, and how the printing press changed the world, making it possible to incredibly broaden access to knowledge.
But that I can design something at home, e-mail it to a company, and then a week or so later, a tablecloth or a set of notecards or a mask will just appear at my doorstep with my design? That still feels like magic. Whenever the package from Spoonflower comes, I open it with ridiculous glee, and when Kavi comes down, I show her too, and her eyes widen — “That’s my pumpkin!”
Yup, kiddo. So cool.
(Also her leaves and cups.)
