Life is finally slowing down enough that I can play board games again, which is lovely. We taught Anand Machi Koro yesterday, and he wanted to play it again today, so here we are. I think he’ll be ready for more complex games soon, but this is good training for Dominion and other resource management games.
The only real difficulty he’d be likely to have with something like Terraforming Mars is that it’s such a long game; I’m not sure his patience will hold out for that kind of thing right now.
The kids are both getting over colds, so they’re a little prone to tears when frustrated, so we’ve needed to put a little extra energy into emotion management, but other than that, it was very nice.
