Back at the hotel after a day of workshopping at Streetlight Guild. I feel a little bad that I didn’t join the group for dinner, but I was tired; I pled deadline and fled. This sort of thing is both rejuvenating (hanging out with writers, talking writing) and draining (in the performative aspect of trying to teach well and panel well).
Given that I have an actual overdue deadline, I had better not do what I want to do, which is crawl under the covers and watch tv until I fall asleep.
But maybe I can compromise. One tv show, then take laptop downstairs to restaurant, eat dinner and write / work on e-mail. Sounds like a plan.
