Doctor’s appointment (just a follow-up with oncologist), teach two classes (Kate Chopin’s “Desiree’s Baby” and Joyce Carol Oates’s “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?”, in Am Lit and Fiction Writing, respectively), maybe squeeze in a swim (practice kicking correctly, as I was doing it all wrong), come home and plant some irises and dahlias in the backyard, and if the children cooperate, spend an hour working on novel-plotting. Busy, but good.
