Just heard from Rahul…

Just heard from Rahul that 2016's MLA / SALA will be held in Austin, TX -- am excited -- have never been there, and I hear it's awesome. Must plan ahead a bit, try to put together a panel idea or two. That sounds like a lovely place the be in early January. Am still tempted to try to make it to 2015 in Vancouver -- I hear Canada, and I think COLD, but I hear it's actually Seattle-like weather? Would it be feasible to pair with a visit to a v. good friend in Seattle? And the real question is, how miserable is it likely to be trying to fly out of and into Chicago in early January?
