Summer reading #6: Junot Diaz, Drown. I can't get this book a fair review right now because I'm busy having a snit about my own publishing career. But at least some of these stories are pretty awesome. Diaz has got a great way of doing understated tension that makes your own shoulders tighten up in sympathy. The lives of these people feel very real. And if you're at all interested, you can go and read gazillion reviews of his work, because he's kinda famous these days. Recommended.
