A mystery recommendation…
A mystery recommendation for you -- Jo Dereske's Miss Zukas series, starting with Miss Zukas and the Library Murders. I'm on book three now, and I'm just finding these delightful, esp. the sly characterization, the way the main character shifts, ever-so-incrementally, from book to book. In an odd way, it reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse series, which also had great characterization of its protagonist, and a slow, progressive unbinding of her life's restrictions.
