Also, just a quick note that I'll be coordinating some DesiLit meet-ups at the upcoming AWP conference in Chicago. We did this last year, and had a lot of fun meeting up for two dinners and some drinks with other desi writers (at what's still a predominantly white literary / fiction conference). I also compiled a list of panels that desi writers were on, or that concerned S. Asian lit., so that we could support each other at the conference -- I think people found that helpful, so I'll be doing it again. And depending on how many people are coming, I may host a DesiLit event at my home in nearby Oak Park -- maybe a potluck dinner or something like that, at either the start or end of the conference. I live about 30 min. from the conference site.
