On the other hand, I do kind of miss the old days, when we had many nervous and earnest poets, shaking a bit as they bared their souls. Which maybe means it's time to start up the DesiLit rapid-fire readings in Chicago again. Tomorrow, I'm going to call the Book Cellar bookstore / cafe, and see if they can find an evening for us in mid-November or early December. If you're South Asian, live in the Chicagoland area, and are interested in doing a three-minute reading, please drop me a line (mohanraj@mamohanraj.com). Fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction are all welcome! Beginners, too. :-)
