We weren’t sure we had the energy to host Thanksgiving, but I’m glad we did manage to have a few friends over (didn’t manage to grab a pic of Nara, so please picture her there as well). It’s really rare that I get to just socialize these days; I’m basically working all the time.
Need to reset that a little in the new year — I miss hanging out with people I know well and really like. Daniel and I have been friends for over 35 years! Wacky. It’s also lovely that the kids are now old enough to really engage with the adults for hours in conversation. And I even got to play a little Scrabble with Kavi at the end of the night — I won, but not by much!
