We hung out on Venice beach itself for about an hour — good sand, good swimming. Not super-crowded on a Tuesday evening.
Kevin was a little surprised that we did extra driving to go do sightseeing stuff while visiting colleges, but I really wanted Kavi to get a little bit of a sense of what it might be like living in southern California — which includes, yes, gorgeous beaches, and also, hours driving on the freeways.
I think it was the right choice, but I’m not used to that much driving, and I was wiped out by the end of each day. Really needed the recuperative beach time!
