Heh. I just got an invite to the university’s promotion party, congratulating me on my achievement, even though I haven’t gotten official notice of the promotion yet. (Last step, board of directors approval, generally a formality, supposed to happen by mid-August.)
I’ll make a formal announcement once I’m formally approved, so you can save your congratulations for then. I just thought this was funny. 🙂
