I reviewed line edits on two stories of mine

Productive day. Morning I did some crafting, went to Home Depot, got plants and planted up the front porch railing baskets. Afternoon I reviewed line edits on two stories of mine — two very very different stories, one for Wild Cards, and the other for Sunday Morning Transport, a sequel to “Expulsion”.

It was a little jarring, going from one to the other. Hopefully, readers will love them both.

The Wild Cards one is an homage to P.G. Wodehouse, which was great fun to work with. I HAD to re-read several of his Bertie Wooster novels, pity me.

I’ve recast Bertie in this, and he’s reborn as a slightly spoiled but very honorable (or honourable, as the British editors corrected me) Mumbai socialite queer woman. Such fun!

(Hopefully my editors won’t mind that their complimentary notes are visible in these screenshots. 🙂 If I showed you the rest of it, you’d see them deleting a lot of commas. I have a comma problem.)
