Oof, that was a long day. Prep for teaching, teaching, dissertation oral defense — she did great! yay! — and then coming home to do taxes. My part is done, finally, and I’ve handed it over to Kevin to finish.
Writing and art business income is up a little from last year (around $20K, we’re not talking enough to live on money here), and I reined in the expenses significantly, which is good, because 2022 was a little over-dramatic in that regard — I let contract labor help get away from me a bit. Still took a loss in 2023, but a much smaller and reasonably deliberate one, as I’m still building out various aspects of Serendib House.
Next year, profit??? We’ll see. 🙂
