A peek at the shop as it stands

Little peek at the shop as it stands — I need to change the chalkboard sign, which is from Valentine’s Day, and I’m hoping to replace the taper candles with some flower candles, assuming I actually get around to making them today as planned.

Coming along, coming along. I’m finally feeling like the shop is full enough that I don’t need to be frantically making things all the time; I can slow down and just make a few things each week, which is perfect. (I mean, if sales pick up and I need to make more, I won’t complain….)

Sales were slow but pretty steady through March — a big bump for the launch party at the top of the month (spent about $300 on food and drink and gift basket supplies, did about $500 in sales), almost $400 or so additional over the rest of the month, so close to $900 in sales overall. If I can get to around $1200 in sales monthly by the end of the first year, I’ll be really happy — trying to give it time to build audience. Hard to be patient!

I’ll be working 10-3 tomorrow (Sunday), if anyone wants to stop by; it’s a great time to have me personalize a cookbook or other book gift. 🙂
