All the things are due today, so it’s a very computer-focused day for me. I applied for a new fellowship at UIC, which would give me a teaching release if I received it, so I’d have more time to work on a book. Two books, actually — finishing one and starting a related other one. Fingers crossed.
As part of that, I needed to update my CV, which always feels like a hassle, but in the end, usually makes me feel better, because even though I feel like I’m not accomplishing anything, who knew, I actually do accomplish some things.
(Yes, my brain is TOTALLY irrational on this point. I know.)

Time for a lunch break — pictured, chicken curry with oatmeal, which sounds weird, but was actually not bad. Would be better if the oatmeal was made with coconut milk instead of cow milk, I think, and could’ve used a pickle to brighten up the plate.
