Countdown: six days ’til launch party — I decided I wanted to do LOTS of raffle prizes. So here’s the plan:
– everyone gets a raffle ticket when they arrive (want more raffle tickets? bring your whole family! bring your friends!)
– I make up themed baskets — I’m tentatively planning on 15 baskets! With a typical value of $50 – $75 / basket.
– at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30, I’ll pick one winner in each of 5 categories. Come early if you want to have the best shot of winning a basket!
– the categories are still to be finalized, but I’m currently thinking they’re: garden, kitchen, SF/F, cancer / love, and Sri Lankan
– I’m going to have a lot of fun tomorrow figuring out what to put in each category, but I think I have “garden” mostly figured out: one Greenhouse candle, one set of 4 paperwhite greeting cards, a pair of Ziva paperwhite bulbs, a moss & gold flake necklace, a bright pink & white tulip toss fabric bookmark, a garden-scrub soap, and a copy of Perennial.
