Sri Lanka research question — environmentalism-related. What are locals likely to see as the most urgent environmental issues right now?
I’ve already had a scene involving pollution affecting Negombo’s shoreline and sea creatures, but I’m ramping up to the big climactic scene, and would like to be sure that whatever the big bad is that they’re facing, it’s something that will be appropriate and resonant to current locals. (The book is set in 2016.)
