Slow, lazy day. Got in late and got to bed after 2 a.m. last night, slept ’til 11, so definitely feeling a big jet-lagged.
We had almost nothing scheduled today, except for one interesting thing — we decided to try a consultation with Ashley Heyer Casey, a high school friend of mine who does professional college advising, because we were honestly feeling kind of lost in the sea of colleges and universities, trying to figure out where Kavi wanted to apply.
It was a great meeting, and really helped us get a better handle on the process — we’re a little behind on some of it, and need to start hustling. It’s SO MUCH more complex than it was when we applied 35 years ago…
Other than that, have mostly been slowly unpacking, cleaning, watering and trimming the plants, catching up on TV, watching Christmas movies, and generally having very low expectations for ourselves today.
Tomorrow, I have a few things I need to get done, so hopefully, I’ll wake up before 11. 🙂
