Whew. That took WAY longer than it should have, because after my first test serging went fine, I started on a tea towel, and the thread was all wonky, and I went back to my test fabric, and that was wonky too, and I spent something like an hour trying to adjust thread tension (on the four different cones) and having it just get more and more wonky, until finally I gave up and went to re-thread it, discovering only then that one of the threads had broken without my noticing it, and that was why all the wonky. SIGH.
But I re-threaded them all, in the right order, and then it serged beautifully. So now I have four tea towels, and I’m going to take a little break because my shoulders hurt from all the bending over and silently swearing (you didn’t know that swearing could make your shoulders hurt? I assure you, it does). But after that, I’ll sew the other two, and THEN I’ll start the flash sale once they’re done, so more like 5 or so instead of noon, but that’s fine. Will run it through the end of Labor Day, and hopefully ship Tuesday or Wednesday.
