Did do a little sewing yesterday — quilted down (is that a phrase? I am such a quilting novice) the second potholder. Next (and final) step, binding.
But I may wait ’til tomorrow to do that because I need to be very chill when sewing new things or I mess up and get stressed out, and today, Kavi has somehow convinced me to drive her to and from both a football game this afternoon and her babysitting gig this evening.
Which is WAY more driving than I normally do in a day, and is really making the day very choppy, but oh well. I do love my baby, and I won’t be driving her around for much longer!
Kavi is not particularly into football, but apparently this is a VERY important football game against our rivals whom we hate (sorry, Fenwick!), so she thought it was critically important to go support her team — she wore team colors and everything.
Go, Huskies! I will cheer you on from my couch, where I am watching Survival of the Thickest (Netflix), which is a surprisingly charming and funny show, about a black woman fashion stylist who loves dressing plus-size women like herself, trying to break in, while navigating her love life, friends and their love lives, etc. It’s extremely wholesome, which I didn’t get from the ad, so let me just recommend it to you here.
