I’m a little jet-lagged, okay, a lot jet-lagged. I had an event last night, and I managed to wake up sufficiently for it, but don’t let this cheery photo deceive you — I was almost asleep just before, and almost asleep just after, and then I got home and tried to go to bed, and only managed to actually sleep two hours, so I’m kind of a mess today.
I have a school board meeting tonight, and an eldercare-related phone call, but luckily, nothing else actually scheduled — I’m a terrible napper, but maybe I can manage a nap before the board meeting tonight.
But all that said, I find teaching gives me a buzz, so once I actually got into the library and started talking about Sri Lankan food history and how to mix, roast, and grind your own spices, I actually had a great time, and I think people enjoyed the event. I even sold some cookbooks. So that’s nice.
I need to update my booking page with some actual sample classes, because I think that’ll make it easier for people, but at least the basics are here, should you want to bring me out to talk! I clearly like talking.
