Cold Press Soap Experiment #3

The color may change a bit more when it’s done curing in a month, so this may not be the final photo. We’ll see! But right now, the faded tones remind me of autumn, so I’m tentatively calling it Autumn Rosehip Soap, which is an appropriate time for rosehips anyway.

Will have 9 bars available in a flash sale to come. And if you ordered in the last flash sale, everything’s all ready finally. I wasn’t quite as quick as I anticipated to get it all together, so I’ll be shipping on Monday, thanks for your patience!

I tried lathering up with some of the shavings, and it’s nice — has a silky feel as you’re washing your hands, and a gentle rose scent. Rose hip tea, rose hip seed oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil (so not for people with nut allergies!), coconut oil, castor oil, French clay, dried rose petals and rose buds, and a scattering of pink Himalayan sea salt. Whew!

Original recipe here, though I did end up messing with it a bit: https://www.growforagecookferment.com/rose-hip-soap/
