School board tonight, 6:30 – 9:15, just under 3 hours. I joined remotely, as I’m attending Wiscon in Madison this weekend.
I’m very sorry to note that one of our board members, Kebreab Henry, has had to step off the board due to family reasons. I’ll just publicly say that Kebreab has been a pleasure to serve with, and is a real loss to the board and our community. He’s been a powerful and passionate voice for our students, never hesitating to speak hard truths, and will be greatly missed.
The board will be appointing a replacement to that seat; the announcement with details on how one can apply to that seat will be posted shortly (the plan is to have it posted by Tuesday of next week, I believe). I’ll post again when it’s up.
