I admit, I’m a little jealous that the writing is so much more beautiful in Pakistan. I mean, I learned how to do basic italic calligraphy at some point, obviously, you *can* do beautiful script (fonts?) in English.
But the default of, say, street signage, between Urdu and English is striking. (I don’t know what the relationship is between the Shikasta script depicted here and standard Urdu script.)
