This part of the Qatar airport is two tiers, which I like, and they’ve incorporated some trees. It still mostly looks like a fancy mall, but I suppose that’s appropriate, given that it is chock full of very expensive stores that I never shop in (Cartier, Tiffany, Burberry, etc. and so on).
It makes me wonder if the local middle-class folks can’t actually afford to fly places, or whether Doha’s airport is just really aimed at targeting the very wealthy international crowd…I have no idea, really. (17 sec video)
