I wasn’t expecting to have an American Thanksgiving meal this year, but as it turned out, my Hawaiian host was cooking one, and invited me to join. It was delicious. And interestingly, she’d tried making sweet potatoes with marshmallows, which was new to all of us, and we were all kind of shocked to find we liked it. (She did cut way back on the sugar in the original recipe.)
