Jed and I went apple-picking Sunday, and they had an espaliered apple maze, apparently the only one in America. That was pretty cool.
If you go here, I’d recommend doing the apple maze (small fee for entry) before any apple-picking, because you’re allowed to try any apples in the maze, and the maze is color-coded, so you know what they are — that way you can find out what you like BEFORE you go apple-picking.
Also, you get two apples to take home with admission, AND if you figure out their puzzle, you get an apple cider donut too, so it’s a pretty good deal.
Heads-up, though — this place, Royal Oak Farm, is VERY Christian. There was a hint of it on the website, but I didn’t realize there would be proverbs and sayings everywhere. It was a lot.
