Jed is visiting; we went to Morton Arboretum today, to see the Human + Nature exhibit, featuring large-scale work by artist Daniel Popper. We didn’t get to all of them, but did see several. This is Heartwood.
Overall, I love the concept, but I wish they’d chosen a variety of artists to feature, rather than just Popper. Among other things, it would’ve been nice to see some male figures, instead of all women. And there was something a little disturbing / body horror about some of the images, the way the women were portrayed exposing their intimate centers. Hmm…
