Garden Log 1/17/22

Pleasant if slightly embarrassing morning going through my one-year-old seeds that I never got around to planting, taking photos and posting to local garden club group for giveaway. They’ll have a lower germination rate since they’re elderly, but still worth a shot, I think, so I’m happy to have some gardeners try.

Some of the packets have enough seeds that I’ll divide and keep half for myself to try, but I really do like giving away lots — last year, Stephanie tried some of my seeds, and she actually got them to bloom where I either never quite got around to planting them, or forgot to water the seedlings and let them wither away tragically.

I feel like whenever I give away some seeds & seedlings, I’m greatly improving their chances of success.

Live, little seeds! LIVE, I command thee!
